Author Introduction - Meet Jude Urbanski

STEPH: Jude, welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

JUDE: Steph, I was born in Tennessee, grew up in Indiana, but will always have a passion for the South.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

JUDE: I read many of the classics growing up and those have remained everlasting favorites. I was also passionate about James Mitchner for many years. Can't remember the authors, but the series was about Mary Carlson, MD. Those got me through grade school. I enjoyed poetry by Elizabeth Barrett Browning and the memoir by Kahil Gabran. Have to say, my most treasured book in the Holy Bible.

STEPH: What genre do you write?

JUDE: I call it women's fiction with inspirational romance elements. I also write non-fiction. My favorite genre to read though is historical fiction. I use Jude Urbanski as my pen name.

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

JUDE: I'm happy to announce that in November DB will release my debut novel, Joy Restored. It's about a widowed young mother who becomes strong in broken places, but in the process almost misses incredible love offered by a rich, Christian widower.

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

JUDE: The kids gave me a Kindle for Christmas! Confess I like it even better than I thought I would. Speaking of kids-my husband and I have a blended family of 8 children!

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available?

JUDE: My non-fiction book, I Can't Remember Me, is available even though it is a few years ago. We keep selling copies. It is the story of my daughter's miraculous recovery from traumatic brain injury.
I have a second novel on my computer. That novel is for sale too!

STEPH: Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

JUE: I live in Indiana, which is known for the Indy 500, Hoosier Basketball Hysteria, Kurt Vonnegut, James Whitcomb Riley and my famous alma mater, Indiana University.

STEPH: Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

JUDE: I'd say Monet. Wasn't he an impressionist? I like his use of varied and muted color.

STEPH: Do you belong to any writing groups? Have they been helpful in allowing you to grow as a writer?

JUDE: Yes. To a local fiction critique group. National and state ACFW groups and National and local groups of the National League of American Pen Women. Hands down, ACFW has taught me sooooo much. It's the best $50 you'll ever spend on your craft. I still consider myself a beginner after 5-6 years of writing..

STEPH: If you could offer one piece of advice for aspiring authors, what would it be?

JUDE: Give yourself to the gifts you are given and never, never, never give up. Gotta work though. Also, pay it forward or give back-mentor someone.

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

JUDE: Coming!-under reconstruction: www.judeurbanski.com and judeurbanski.blogspot.com
Facebook Twitter Linked In email:urbanski4u@aol.com

Thank you, Miss Stephanie, for doing this interview. Let me know if you need anything more and also when you'll post.
Jude

Author Introduction - Meet Shirley Connelly

STEPH: Welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

SHIRLEY: Thank you for the welcome, Stephanie. It’s great to be here at Desert Breeze. As a graduate of Institute of Children’s Literature who started off writing for children, I now wear different hats. On my creative side, I pen fiction romances laced with nuggets of inspiration. When I’m wearing my more logical thinking cap, I write lighthearted nonfiction devotional books. I’m also a teacher, I speak at women’s retreats and luncheons, and at home, I’m an active mom and grandma. I love rearranging furniture, cross-stitching and doing needlework. My evenings are spent watching classical movies on TCM. And last but not least, I adore animals, especially chickens, dogs, cats, ducks, geese, you name it. You can find me often on the Social Networks, over at ACFW, or Hearts Thru History, and also FHL when I’m not at my blog promoting other authors or sharing writing tips. I’ve traveled extensively but grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I seem to have back ended here again.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

SHIRLEY: Beverly Cleary was one, and whoever wrote The Hardy Boys, and The Bobbsy Twins, and some ballerina book I read till it fell apart (didn’t concentrate on who authors were back then). When I started reading romances, it was Kathleen E. Woodiwiss all the way. (Since the heroine tried to be good until she was married most of the time, I didn’t have to skip too many pages. smile)

STEPH: What romantic subgenre do you write?

SHIRLEY: Historical-Inspirational a bit on the edgy side. I like stories that are realistic as life itself.

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Tell us about it.

SHIRLEY: Say Goodbye to Yesterday is about an unwed mother who is booted from town when the truth is revealed about her and her daughters. Now without a home, she must take her girls to locate the father and force a forgotten wedding pledge. What she won’t anticipate is how love will beckon her instead to an irresistible man, already quite married.

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

SHIRLEY: Yes, I do. I got myself a Kindle last summer. I love it. I’m always telling others to check out this ebook stuff.

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are availabe?

SHIRLEY: I do, Stephanie. I’ve already written two novels, Flame from Within is still available, but my first story, It Happened Near the Cliff Rock is now out of print. I have two lighthearted devotional books available and one coming out any day now. (Great stocking stuffers, by the way.) I See God in the Simple Things, I See God in the Thorns ~n~ Thistles, and I See God on the Narrow Road.

STEPH: Can you tell us about the state you live in?

SHIRLEY: I live in Oregon. I grew up not liking it much except for the greens and the beautiful trees and Crater Lake and going to the coast. Other than that, I’m not too much of a drizzly rain girl. We lived in Washington for a while, up in Seattle. Although it looked similar to Oregon, I have many more fond memories of my five years there. But if I had my preference to living anywhere, even though I know you didn’t ask me, I think it would be back east again. There, I love the history. I love the tradition. I love the seasons, especially fall.

STEPH: What country would you like to visit that you haven't?

SHIRLEY: The rest of the United Kingdom, I think, also Italy.

STEPH: Did you do NaNoWriMo this year?

SHIRLEY: I didn’t do NaNoWriMo this year, but I’m a part of FINISHTHEBOOK which is probably similar if it means finishing a book in a specified time. Tell us about it. Can I tell you it was there I made it the first time through the book now being published at Desert Breeze?

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

SHIRLEY: Readers can visit me at Shirley Kiger Connolly ~ Author over at http://shirleykoinonia.tripod.com/ but most of the time I’m at my blog http://apenforyourthoughts.blogspot.com/ Would love to see you come by anytime.

Author Introduction - Meet Sadie & Sophie Cuffe!

1. Welcome to Desert Breeze Sadie & Sophie. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

SADIE & SOPHIE: We grew up in mid-coast Maine in a small rural community where everybody knew everybody. For fun we played neighborhood pick-up games, hockey on the back pond, and built secret hideouts in the woods. A blind date matched up our Californian Dad with Maine farm girl Mom, so every few years they’d load up the VW bus, pack the canvas tent along with us and our two brothers, and we’d travel west as gypsies, cementing our love for road trips, camping, hiking, and our brothers. Today we reside in downeast coastal Maine , where we still enjoy doing sister things together (including writing) and look forward (mostly) to whatever surprises today brings.

2. Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?
Sophie: Laura Ingalls Wilder and Madeleine L'Engle, and every Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books she could get her hands on. Oh, and Cherry Ames books.

Sadie: Laura Ingalls Wilder, Jean Little, Donald Sobol, Marjorie K. Rawlings, Fred Gipson. .

3. What genre do you write?

SADIE & SOPHIE: What genre don’t we write? Since there are two of us, we make the most of us, writing in all the genres we enjoy -- currently women’s fiction, inspirational suspense, cozy mystery, historical, inspirational mystery, juvenile fiction, nonfiction, scripts, and one screenplay

4. You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze.

SADIE & SOPHIE: Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about? Arrow that Flies, release date August 2011, is about Jackie Duncan, a fly-by-the-seat-of-her-pants investigator for the state forest service, and Rob Adams, a former environmental activist who’s a bit too tightly wound. Jackie comes to Stellar’s Ford to investigate threats against a logging deal that involves state park land and environmental terrorist, Rand Adams, Rob's twin brother. Rob is drawn to the small sawmill town by a kidnapper’s threat against his brother. In a jumble of mistaken identity, clashing personalities, and secret friendships, the beauty of the North woods becomes a hiding place for a killer with a dark agenda. But through the test of fire and blood, Jackie and Rob forge a bond that unites them forever. Move over Joan Wilder!

5. Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

SADIE & SOPHIE: No, we don't, and, to tell the truth, we know nothing about them, so it's rather ironic our first novel is coming out as an ebook, don't you think?

6. Do you have any other books that are available?

SADIE & SOPHIE: Not yet ,but hopefully more to follow soon, if we could just get those agents and publishers to heart us. Sadly, we've had more face-to-face encounters with moose than with publishers or agents. lol.

7. Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

SADIE & SOPHIE: Maine, the way life should be! The rising sun strikes the USA first on the rocks of Maine . We have more than 3000 miles of coastline, counties with more trees than people, and the end (or the beginning) of the Appalachian trail, with some of the greatest hiking in the east. We have small, close-knit rural communities, family farms, islands with year-round ferry service, and country churches that have old fashioned public bean suppers. A good part of Maine is off the beaten track and considered out of the cultural mainstream, but we have our moments.

8. Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

Sadie: If I had to pick one of these guys, I’d pick Picasso, but if I could pick any dead artist, I’d go with Dali and the melting clocks, a metaphor for my life! S

ophie: May I pick Grandma Moses, because when I grow up I want to be like her.

9. Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

SADIE & SOPHIE: Actually hadn't heard about it until we got this question. Googled it - wow. It could be crazy fun but we don’t have the time this November (see melting clock answer above). Also November is wreath making season in Maine. Instead of 50,000 words by Nov. 30th, it’s 50,000 wreaths and garland!!! Any spare time (laughing hysterically) will be devoted to editing Arrow that Flies. How's that for dedication!

10. Where can we find you on the web?

SADIE &SOPHIE: Our website is currently under construction, but we're on facebook (sscuffe) and always looking for new friends.

Author Introduction - Welcome Author JoAnn Carterl to the Desert Breeze Family

STEPH: JoAnn, welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

JOANN: Thank you for the warm welcome and for inviting me to join you today. I'm a native Jersey girl who grew up in the Pine Barrens, not far from Fort Dix. I worked as an LPN until our second son was born.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

JOANN: Janette Oke and Frank Peretti

STEPH: What genre do you write?

JOANN: I write mostly inspirational fiction—contemporary romance, romantic suspense, historical romance and general women's fiction. I also have one children's fiction, a few short stories, and some non-fiction articles.

STEPH; You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

JOANN: Yes, I'm so excited about this Historical Fiction series. The first story is called, The Floating Palace. This will be released on my husband's birthday—July 15, 2011.

Here's the blurb~
ELLIE DUNKLING’S life long dream has been to work on one of Lake Champlain ’s steamboats, the Ticonderoga . There’s only one problem. Men, not women, are hired to work on steamboats. Ellie however is determined to change that. After all, it is 1923 and far from the dark-ages.

Captain PHILIP LAWHORN is a man’s man. When Champlain Transportation Inc. informs him that a woman has been hired to work on his ship as stewardess, he’s anything but pleased. First of all, he doesn’t appreciate the fact that someone’s been hired as part of his twenty-eight member crew without his knowledge. Secondly, how is he supposed to handle this company mandated sure to be disaster?

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

JOANN: Oh, I wish! Unfortunately, I'm still in the dark ages. I download books to my computer and read them from there. I'm still saving up my pennies though. Perhaps one day I'll be able to purchase one. J

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available?

JOANN: Yes. Teacher's Plans, By the Book, Sweet Rest, Smuggler of the Heart, Daniella, and a few "free read" stories are available as well. (There's more information about this on my website.)

STEPH: . Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

JOANN: Although I grew up in NJ and lived there most of my life, about nine years ago, our family moved to Vermont. We love the beauty of this place and are really enjoying our time here, ministering in a small town called Jericho.

So lets see, what is interesting about VT? It is the home and birthplace of our 30th president, Calvin Coolidge. We have lots of dairy farmers (Cabot Cheese) and great coffee (Green Mountain.) The Ethan Allen homestead is right here and this is where Snowflake Bently discovered in the late 1800's through photography that there are no two snowflakes alike. We have beautiful fat Maple trees that produce yummy syrup. And how could I almost forget to mention skiing? If you enjoy winter sports, this is a great place to be.

STEPH:. Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

JOANN: Hmm—I think I'll go with Picasso.

STEPH: . Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

JOANN: Funny you should ask this question. I was just thinking about NaNo WriMo. I'd love to try, but it always happens in November. The long Thanksgiving Break, when the boys are home, would set me too far behind schedule. So, instead I just plot along at my regular pace. Perhaps once they are all out of school, I'll give it a shot.

STEPH: . Where can we find you on the web?

JOANN: http://home.comcast.net/~jo.glenncarter/site
Thanks for having me here today!

Author Introduction - Welcome Author Jillian Chantal to the Desert Breeze Family

STEPH: Jillian, welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

JILLIAN: I spent my elementary school days in Virginia about thirty miles outside of Washington, D.C. where my father was in Federal Civil Service. We moved to Pensacola, Florida when I was in the sixth grade when his job relocated him. I loved living in Virginia where there was a distinct change of seasons. The move to Pensacola was kind of a shock- the two things I remember having the most impact on me were (1) the friendliness of the people. People would greet me on the street and say hello (or hey, in the vernacular) even if they didn’t know me. (2) The shocking lack of clothing. I came from a place where we wore knee socks, mid calf dresses and real shoes. I moved to a place where everyone had bare legs, flip flops and mini skirts. And most shocking of all, bare midriffs. I’m happy to say it took me less than a week to acclimate and, to this day, I abhor panty hose.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

JILLIAN: I adored all of the British writers. Agatha Christie, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and Noel Streatfeild.

STEPH: What genre do you write?

JILLIAN: I call it romantic adventure with an international flair. I think traditionally, it would be romantic suspense. I usually stay in the contemporary arena but my Desert Breeze Publishing upcoming release is a historical set in 1920.

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

JILLIAN: July 2011 is the release date. It’s called Redemption for the Devil. It’s a 1920 historical. The hero is a member of the Irish Republican Army on a mission against the English. The heroine is an Irish lass that signs on to work on the RMS Mauretania to earn her way to America and a new life. Most of the adventure takes place at sea between Southampton and New York Harbor but there is an element of Chicago gangsters and Arctic exploration as well.

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

JILLIAN: Yes, I have the Sony.

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available

JILLIAN: I have a release in January 2011 called Solo Honeymoon. I also have a few short stories published under both this name and my real name. I use this pseudonym for my romance stories and my real name for the general fiction.

STEPH: Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

JILLIAN: Florida is unique. It’s a huge state and from where I live, I can drive to North Carolina faster than I can get to Miami. I actually live eight miles from the Alabama line going toward Mobile. My part of the state is green and has lots of trees. The southern part is much more tropical. My hometown is a casual, fun, beach town. I love living here.

STEPH: Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

JILLIAN: Renoir- I like the fact that he uses people in his works. It is very hard to paint people that look realistic and I like realism.

STEPH: Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

JILLIAN: Last year was my first time doing NaNoWriMo and I had a ball with it. I got the 50,000 words written in 21 days. I later edited the story to 75,000 words and I’m proud to say it’s the story that Desert Breeze Publishing is releasing in July 2011. So, I’m definitely in again. This year, I’m writing a story that’s tentatively called Obsession. Who knows, it could be my next release with Desert Breeze!

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

JILLIAN: I have my own blog/website at http://jillianchantal.wordpress.com/ and I’m also part of a group blog called the Southern Sizzlers where I blog every Saturday about the bad boy of the week, it’s called Badurday http://southernsizzleromance.wordpress.com/ You can email me at JillianChantal@gmail.com

Author Introduction - Welcome Author Theresa Stillwagon to the Desert Breeze Family

STEPH: I'd like to welcome author Theresa Stillwagon to the blog. Her Desert Breeze Release is Saving Pale Moon and will be released 15 April 2011.

Theresa, welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

THERESA: I was borned and raised in a small town in Ohio called Conneaut. I lived there most of my life until I went into the Air Force in the late '70s. The older I got the colder it seemed so my husband and I decided to buy an RV in 2006 and start traveling. Right now we're living in Savannah, Georgia. This new lifestyle is both a blessing and a curse, but I'd never change it for the world.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

THERESA: I really can't remember anyone specific. I did read a lot though.

STEPH: What genre do you write?

THERESA: I write contemporary romance,

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

THERESA: I have a western contemporary coming out April 15, 2011 called Saving Pale Moon. Basically it's about a woman unsatisfied with her life who decides to meet her birth mother. In the process, she also meets the love of her life. He doesn't really trust her. He doesn't understand why she showed up at the ranch twenty years after finding out about her birth mother. Pale Moon is a stallion that she evidently gets to trust her. Watching her with the horse, the hero realizes he can trust her to.
I loved writing this book.

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

THERESA: No, but I want one. The only thing I've wanted for Christmas for the last two or three years is an ebook reader. Maybe this year.

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available?

THERESA: Yes, I have three other romances out now. I write for two other epubs.

STEPH: Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

THERESA: I live in Georgia now. I love it here even though it was a culture shock when we first moved from Ohio. After living in the north for so long, it seemed like a completely different country to me. I don't notice that difference now. I love the history of the area around here. Savannah is a beautiful city. My husband and I haven't seen many sites around yet but we plan on traveling around the state in the next year or two.

STEPH: Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

THERESA: It's between Monet and Renoir I'm thinking. Isn't Picasso the guy who paints weird symbolic stuff? If I'm looking at a picture of a tree, I need to see a tree.

STEPH: Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

THERESA: No, not this year. I did do it a few years ago. I actually enjoyed it. Nothing like putting yourself under pressure to get some work done. The book may be far from perfect but at least you can put 'the end' on it.

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

Author Introduction - Welcome Author Linda McMaken to the Desert Breeze Family

STEPH: Where did you grow up?

LINDA: I am a Midwest girl. Although my family DNA is in the South, and my heart is in the West.

I live with an amazing husband who can fix anything. Seriously, I've never broken anything the man can't fix. We've been married for 28 years and have two awesome daughters. The youngest was just married in August. She is a firefighter/paramedic and her hubby is a firefighter. My older daughter is getting married in December. Whew, it's been a long, but fun year. She is studying to be an EMT and her soon-to-be hubby is an EMT/Firefighter. Well, now I've got someone to put out all those kitchen fires!!! LOL

I have two "pound puppies" Hailey and Diesel. Diesel is featured on my blog very often. He is the source of much amusement. Hailey is now 14 years old and she snores while I write.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

LINDA: I loved John Jakes. I met him at a local library when I was a teenager and fell in love. He was older, cool, and a writer!

Thanks to my mom, I read lots of Louis L’amour, Zane Grey, Max Brand, and great mysteries from Nancy Drew, Mickey Spillane, and Clive Cussler.

STEPH: What genre do you write?

LINDA: I write romantic comedy. Although I have a thriller I’ve been playing around with and hope to have finished next year.

I’ve also been a freelance magazine writer for a number of years, and I am a scriptwriter for COS Productions. They create booktrailers for writers.

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

LINDA: The title is Baer Truth. It is scheduled for release in August 2011. I’ll just give you the “short” back cover version.

Abby Clark, a vegetarian, punk rock back-up singer and city-slicker gets kicked off the band tour bus in the middle of nowhere. Wyoming! Stuck with nothing but a talent for cooking and the singing voice of an angel, she manages to disturb a very cranky, cold-hearted bear, um, Baer. Joe Baer, a sexy Wyoming beef rancher. He has a nasty ex-girlfriend, killer blue eyes, a ranch mortgage that’s due, and a past that even he never suspected.
Just when it looks like beef might be what’s for dinner, the “Earl of Country Music” steps into the picture. He’s a sexy country singing legend with a killer smile and connections that could launch a stellar-career for Abby.
Baer Truth, is a contemporary romantic comedy, following the three Baer brothers and their heartwarming family saga in Wyoming ranch land; where the men are always hungry, the women are bossy, tractors are just booby-traps lying in wait for city-girls and true love is just a Baer cave away!

STEPH: Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

LINDA: No. But a few of my friends do and oh, I covet them often!

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available?

LINDA: Bear Truth will be my first published novel.

STEPH: Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

LINDA: I live in the corn belt of Ohio. We have an awesome Great Lake, Erie; the country’s largest state fair, where butter sculptures are seriously a work of art. We are home to the United States Air Force Museum, which is an amazing place to visit. The Wright-B Flyer lives there as does Air Force One and everything in between. Oh, and we have the Rock-N-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland – Rock on!

STEPH: Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

LINDA: Monet, because I squint a lot, and need my glasses.

STEPH: Monet is my favorite, too! So, are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

LINDA: No. As a working writer, with one of those annoying “real” world jobs, I have too many deadlines.

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

LINDA: I have a blog that right now acts as my webpage as well. www.makenwords.blogspot.com . I’m also at the usual places like Facebook, and Twitter.

STEPH: Thanks for popping in, LInda. Have a Happy Halloween everyone.

Author Introduction - Meet AR Norris

STEPH: Amber, welcome to Desert Breeze. Tell us a little about yourself. Where did you grow up?

AMBER: This is exciting! Thank you Steph. A little about myself…I live in the Northern California Bay Area with my husband, 4 kids, 2 dogs, and cat. Surrounding us are dozens of family members, vineyards, and Valley Mountains. Funny, I think my soul needs to be near mountains because I spent my childhood mostly in Colorado with the Rocky Mountains saying hello every morning from the West.

STEPH: Who were some of your favorite authors growing up?

AMBER: Oh boy! I loved to read from the first Dr. Seuss story so have a lot of favorites. Every week (sometimes twice) I’d run down to the second hand store and pick up an old, torn book. I do have my most influential author, H.G. Wells. He introduced me to the world of SF with the Time Machine. It blew my mind. After that I was picking up books from the likes of Robert Heinlin, Isaac Asimov. I then spread into horror and more speculative with authors like Stephen King.

STEPH: What genre do you write?

AMBER: My novels are SFR but my short stories usually end up being speculative fiction.

STEPH: You have an upcoming release with Desert Breeze. Can you tell us when, the title, and let us know what it's about?

AMBER: My debut novel, Duty and Devotion, will be released June 2011 through Desert Breeze.

Sisters Nettie and Rinny Matterville head off to war, discovering true love can be found even in a time of conflict. Nettie learns true love isn’t always obvious; sometimes it’s right in front of your face. Rinny learns that love at first site can and does happen, but the real challenge is keeping it.

STEPH; Do you have an ebook reader? If so, which one?

AMBER: I just barely decided which one I want, so it's on my Christmas list. I have a huge ebook library through PDF format.

STEPH: Do you have any other books that are available?

AMBER: No other novels, but you can find my published short stories and free reads at my blog. I do have a trilogy coming out with Desert Breeze starting October 2011 through Spring 2012, titled The Telomere Trilogy.

STEPH: Can you tell us a little about the state you live in?

AMBER: Oh, could I! I'll try to keep it short. I live in the wonderful, diverse state of California. State budgets and political craziness aside, it's perfect. Specifically I live in the Northern California Bay Area of Napa. Right now it's harvest season in the Wine Country so many mornings the Valley has smelled like wine. For vacations, we love to hit up the rocky Northern Coastline. The wind gets so wild, you're never sure if California is trying to blow you out to sea or just showing off her might.

STEPH: Just for fun: pick your favorite: Monet, Picasso, or Renoir?

AMBER: I will respectively have to chose none of them. My favorite artist is Salvador Dali. He is the most amazing Surrealist I've ever come across.

STEPH: Are you doing NaNoWriMo this year? Have you done it in the past?

AMBER: This is my first year participating. I'll be using the goal to finish the first draft of the second book in the Telomere Trilogy, Echoes of Regret.

STEPH: Where can we find you on the web?

AMBER: I'd love for you all to drop by my blog, Adventures of a Sci-Fi Writer at: http://sci-fiadventures.blogspot.com/

Thank you so much for letting me come and hang out today, Steph.

STEPH: Thanks for popping in.
Smiles
